This can include direct feedback from stakeholders to ensure a successful launch without needing immediate revisions. When planning a REMS program, it is important to solicit feedback from stakeholders including patients, healthcare providers (HCPs), and pharmacists prior to REMS tool design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key strategies to ensure success include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Starting REMS planning early<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obtaining stakeholder feedback from Key Opinion Leaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Considering timeline implications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluating plans and procedures to determine feasibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consulting the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/drugs\/risk-evaluation-and-mitigation-strategies-rems\/risk-evaluation-and-mitigation-strategy-rems-public-dashboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FDA REMS Website<\/a>\u00a0for guidance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Factoring in stakeholder characteristics in planning and tool design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When soliciting stakeholder feedback, consider whether a qualitative or quantitative approach is best.&nbsp; An overview of qualitative and quantitative research approaches are listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><th>Qualitative Research<\/th><th>Quantitative Research<\/th><\/tr><tr><td>Smaller sample size\/non-representative of the entire population<\/td><td>Larger sample size\/can be generalized to cover the entire population<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Unstructured data collection<\/td><td>Structured data collection<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Gives an open space to explore topics or areas of focus<\/td><td>Surveys with closed-ended questions (KABs)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Allows for updating questions and follow-ups in real time<\/td><td>Closed-ended questions that can be analyzed with numerical and statistical methods<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Observe and interpret<\/td><td>Measure and test<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Grouping of common data\/non-statistical analysis<\/td><td>Statistical analysis<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Research methodology is exploratory<\/td><td>Research methodology is often conclusive<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some tips and best practices in getting the best feedback from stakeholders include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evaluating different designs or layout options of tools or materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluating patient materials with HCPs to ensure consistent messaging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testing alternative wording or language to evaluate comprehension<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluating stakeholder feedback in real-time \u2013 does the plan match the reality?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Considering the burden to HCPs and patients and developing questions to identify areas of pain points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>UBC is the leading provider of risk management and REMS services.
